This card indicates domestic comfort, and a feeling of security and protection. We all want to feel these feelings with the ones we love and care about, as well as wanting to make them feel secure and protected too.
If it is us wanting to show someone how much we care, we must be careful not to become over-protective, or resort to emotional blackmail otherwise the very person we are trying to demonstrate our love and care for... may end up thinking we are trying to control them - the exact oppoiste of what was intended!
The card is also linked to maternal feelings, motherhood and nurturing as the Empress is an 'earth mother'.
