Love, and Choice
On a basic level this card represents love, sometimes even a rekindled love. It also denotes harmony and happiness for those in a relationship and possible attraction and lust for those who are single!
On a deeper level the card can also indicate an important choice that needs to be made, particularly where affairs of the heart are concerned and the options are conflicting and so causing you to worry. Don't be pushed or pressured by anyone into making a rash decision, you need to take your time and weigh up all the options carefully. You must do what is ultimately right for you in the long term. So it's worth remembering only when we can learn to love ourselves can we truly love another.
I'm not sure what this card means for me today, as I'm not involved at the moment and have certainly not noticed any forthcoming advances in my direction! Actually no, on reflection I've just realised... recently I have found myself being drawn towards someone whom before I didn't consider was right for me to be with. As of yet I've not mentioned anything to anyone about this, so clearly I must still be weighing up all my options! How odd, to think I never even realised this until today's card. I'm sorry to go on but for me, it's confirmation again how the tarot helps me recognise things in my life. I really hope anyone else who follows this page is also finding the tarot helping them in some way.
Gemini-I don't know much about Tarot Cards. Is this a card drawn at random or does it have some significance to today? Same question for the weekly ones.
ReplyDeleteThere are 78 cards altogether in a Tarot deck, 22 pictorial cards from the Major Arcana deck & 56 Minor Arcana cards.
ReplyDeleteFor the daily tarot (on this page), we use the 22 Major picture card deck, as these are generally considered to be the more important cards & represent the most fundamental precepts & motivations of people's lives.
The cards are not drawn at random, each date has a specific card relating to that day. This is based on factors such as astrological, planetary, elemental & numerology attributes.
During a tarot reading we generally use all 78 cards as the Minor cards can give you a useful insight into the smaller but still relevant aspects of what's possibly going on in the Querant's life.
Hope this makes sense for you ;-)
It does and thank you! I've had readings before, but didn't know much about the backgound or principles behind it.
